RottenTomatoes Score: 37% Fresh
MetaCritic Score: 49/100
IMDB Rating: 7.0/10
My Response: I recently read the novel this film is based on, and I am somewhat surprised they attempted to turn it into a movie. I think the source material would be extremely difficult to transform into a film, but with the load of talent here, hopefully they'll be able to make it pretty interesting. Director Meirelles is fantastic, and the cast is top notch. I admit I'm eager to see it, if only to see how these talented people have tried to bring this gritty, engrossing, heart-wrenching story to the big screen.
